YOUR FIRST TIME WITH NEW DAY
what to expect?
New Day is a small to medium sized church. There are people from various religious backgrounds. People young and old, singles and families, new folks and those who have been members for years. All are welcome here.
ARRIVING AT NEW DAY
At larger churches you might be able to visit and leave without necessarily meeting other people (some prefer this, and there’s certainly nothing wrong with it!). But at New Day you are welcomed in as family from the get-go. Expect to be greeted at the door with a many warm “hellos” and a copy of that day’s newsletter.
PARKING
You can park on the street along the front of our building and enter through the front gate. The doors to the sanctuary, where we meet on Sunday mornings for worship, faces Oakmont Drive.
There is also a parking lot behind New Day. The opening to the entrance is on Camillia Lane. Facing New Day from the parking lot you will see a building to your left (the education wing) and a building to your right (the fellowship hall). Pass through the hallway between these two buildings. On your left will be the restrooms. On the right you will pass several doors, including the fellowship hall (where you can stop before Sunday worship to grab some coffee), the brown room (where many of our groups meet throughout the week) and the side door to the sanctuary. Continue all the way to the end of both buildings and then follow the path to the right. After turning right you will see the entrance to the sanctuary. Come on in and sit anywhere you’d like!
WHAT TO WEAR
The answer to this is simple - wear what you feel most comfortable in! Some prefer to dress up for Sundays in suits and dresses while others wear jeans and t-shirts. We care about you, not your clothes.
CHILDREN
We love and value children at New Day. We understand if you feel more comfortable having your child sit with you during worship, especially your first time here. There is also a nursery (in the education building) where younger children can play. Be assured that all nursery workers must pass a thorough background check before caring for your child.
AFTER WORSHIP
Worship typically ends around 11:30am. You’re invited to join us afterwards for a free lunch. We all sit down in the fellowship hall to talk, eat and laugh together.
At 12:00pm we split up into various Bible studies or LOCK groups.
